My PiYo Experience

Do you want strength?  Do you want flexibility? Do you want major changes without lifting any weights and using ONLY your own body to workout?  Then PiYo is for you!!!

I am currently doing a 60 day PiYo challenge and am having the time of my life.  Planks and push-ups are becoming second nature to me.  My flexibility has increased so much since starting this program.  I've also alleviated shoulder pain I've been having for about 8 months because my body is stronger.

Is PiYo Pilates?  No.  I've taken many Pilates classes.  This is not Pilates.  I have never had this much sweat in a Pilates class. :-)

Is PiYo Yoga?  There are yoga-like moves and flows, but at a lot more intensity.  If you've done Bikram hot yoga like I have, then this will feel similar in a way because it is a mind-body program.  If you've done any other type of yoga, then this will push your limits.

PiYo is a unique fusion of many types of fitness moves all blended together.  It is amazing!

My P90X Experience

I remember vividly on my first day of P90X having to put up the pull-up bar on my door.  I knew I wouldn't be good at doing a pull-up.  By Day 90, I was a pull-up master.  P90X gave me strength I didn't know I had.  I have a soft spot for this program because it was the first home workout regimen that I stuck to 100% for 90 days.  Tony Horton is so motivating and genuine.  He makes you want to give your best!!!

Some of the workouts are longer than others.  Most are in the 30-45 minute range.  The Yoga X DVD is the longest ... and possibly the most difficult yoga class I had taken at that point!!

I was training for a marathon at the time and found myself stronger and faster in my long run days.
As I trained for another race after completing P90X, I would use the Plyo DVD on my non-run days ... I definitely left that workout with a drenched shirt, which was way more than I was sweating on my long runs.

This program has major results and just could be the workout to change your life!!!





My Insanity Experience

My, oh, my.  This is the hardest workout I've done.  Period.
That motivates me to want to conquer it.  And at the end of 60 days of Insanity, my breathing capacity and cardio was vastly improved.  This workout will push you to your limits, but you don't want to let Shaun T. down as you do this workout with him.  He keeps you completely engaged and wanting to reach your potential.  I love how genuine the trainers are in these programs.  Believe me when I say I know so many other DVDs aren't half as genuine as these trainers, like Shaun T.

This workout will leave you sweating and smiling!!!
